Comic Art and Literacy Expo

A Place Called Home’s FIRST-EVER Comic Art and Literacy Expo, sponsored by Disney was a blast. On October 21st, artists, illustrators, writers, poets, and publishers brought their¬†books and knowledge to share with many kids who showed up to take part in writing, drawing and storytelling panels and then they all got to take home books and comics for their enjoyment!

The line forms in front of A Place Called Home, with kids ready to participate in the Comic Art and Literacy Expo.
Kids at the expo got to meet many local publishers and illustrators, along with participating in panels and workshops.
Disney was the sponsor who donated tons of comics and books for all kids, free of charge!
Even R2D2 and the BB8 showed up to get their free books!
